#8 Garmin nuvi 760 4.3" Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator
|
|
Garmin nuvi 760 GPS
The Garmin nuvi 760 is the next step up from the 660 GPS model that was on of the bestselling GPS's back in 2006.
The 760 improves on that with features such as easier to read font's for street names, much better map rendering under the 3D map mode (so you don't need to use the zoom function as much), and because it doesn't have the external antenna that you need to erect in the earlier model it makes it easier to fit to your windscreen or dashboard.
The 760 is also good if you want to find alternate routes to your destination.

#9 Magellan Maestro 4370 4.3" Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator
|
|
Magellan Maestro 4370 GPS
This GPS is very similar to the Magellan Maestro 4350 but has better and higher resolution. On paper they seem very much the same however.
Where the Magellan comes into it's own above the TomTom and Garmin is it's POI (point of interest) features. That means that you can put places that you regularly visit - the gym, the cafe, your friend's house in the map and see exactly where to go to get there (or wave as you drive past).
It's also impressive if you are out of town and looking for a gas station or restaurant. Just a few clicks of the button and you'll have them on your display screen.

#10 TomTom ONE 130 3.5" Portable GPS Navigator
|
|
TomTom ONE 130 GPS
If you are looking for an inexpensive GPS that gets you from A to B without any fuss then the TomTom ONE 130 is all you need.
While it doesn't have advanced features like bluetooth or live traffic updates it's a really good basic model that has up to date maps that will get you to your destination.
At just 3.5 inches it's smaller than the more popular widescreen models, but because it's so compact it easy fits into your bag or purse so you don't have to leave it in the car. Plus it fits onto the smallest dashboard with ease.
